Filing Requirements for Jefferson County Board of Supervisors

Eligibility

*18 Years of Age
* Qualified Elector / Resident of Jefferson County Supervisory District (Minimum of 28 days)

Candidates for County Board Supervisor must meet the following eligibility requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Campaign Registration Statement -Local Candidate Registration Statement CF-1L
  2. Completion of Declaration of Candidacy - Form EL-162
  3. Completion of Nomination papers - Form EL-169
  4.  Ballot Access Checklist - Form ELIS-3
  5. Jefferson County Code of Ethics
  6. Memo Regarding Constitutional Ban on Felons Holding Office
  7. Board Supervisor Qualifications, Duties, and Expectations
  8. Phone Number Release to Media
  9. Getting Started on the County Board
FIRST DAY TO CIRCULATE NOMINATION PAPERS:  December 1st, 2023

DEADLINE TO FILE ABOVE FORMS: 5 p.m. on Tuesday, January 2nd 2024

DEADLINE TO FILE NOTIFICATION OF NONCANDIDACY:  5 p.m. on Friday, December 22nd 2023

Notification of Non candidacy-Form EL-163

DEADLINE TO FILE AS A REGISTERED WRITE-IN CANDIDATE: 12 p.m. on Friday, March 29th 2024
