Slow No Wake

The slow no wake IS NO LONGER IN EFFECT for the portion of the Rock River from the Rock River downstream from the Dodge/Jefferson County Line to the West Milwaukee Street Bridge and from the Rock River downstream from the West Milwaukee Street Bridge (Watertown) to Lake Koshkonong.

What determines a slow no wake? 

Jefferson County issues a slow no wake on any portion of the Rock River downstream from the Dodge/Jefferson County Line to the West Milwaukee Street Bridge at a reading of 3.5 feet above Datum gauge height of 792.38 at the USGS 0542550 gaging station (Rock River @ Watertown and any portion of the Rock River downstream from the West Milwaukee Street Bridge (Watertown) to Lake Koshkonong when the water level at USGS gauge 05427235 (Lake Koshkonong near Newville) is 8 feet above Datum gauge height of 769.77.  The determination is issued by the Office of Emergency Management.

Click on the circle near Watertown (WATW3-Rock River at Watertown, WI (MKX)) and take your cursor to the blue line on the current date.  If the reading is 3.5 feet or above, there is a Slow no Wake in effect that will cover the portion of the Rock River downstream from the Dodge/Jefferson County Line to the West Milwaukee Street Bridge. 

For the second portion of the Rock River, click on the circle on the Jefferson/Walworth boarder (NVLW3-Rock River @ Lake Koshkonong, WI (MKX)).and take your cursor to the blue line on the current date.  If the reading is 8.0 feet or above, there is a Slow no Wake in effect that will cover the portion of the Rock River downstream from the West Milwaukee Street Bridge (Watertown) to Lake Koshkonong
