Comprehensive Plan and Agricultural Preservation & Land Use Plan Process Update
The project team is continuing its efforts to update the Jefferson County Comprehensive Plan and Agricultural Preservation & Land Use Plan. In February and March we held a number of Focus Group meetings with stakeholders across a range of topics. These provided an opportunity for the project team to engage stakeholders on the issues and opportunities identified in the early phases of the project. The focus group topics included agriculture, jurisdictions, housing, transportation, natural resources, tourism, and young professionals.
Our next phase of the project includes the second round of regional meetings. We had scheduled these meetings for late March/early April, however, they have been delayed due to our current public health situation. We continue to monitor the situation and will provide additional information as it is available. For the time being, a quick plan element survey is available to provide additional input. This survey is aimed to gather additional input on a few of the key themes identified to date. Please find the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/JeffCoSpringSurvey
We’ll continue to update the project website as more information is available.
Please follow Jefferson County on social media and visit the project website for updates - We will continue to provide monthly social media updates throughout the project duration.
