About the Surveyor
This Department functions under the direction of the Director, Land Information Office.
Full-time County Surveyor Office was started on January 1, 1977 by County Board Resolution No.92, October 12, 1976.
Duties and responsibilities include performing surveying duties set forth in S59.60 and S59.635, Wisconsin Statutes.
Indexes and files all surveys received from other surveying firms doing work in the County.
Supervises re-monumentation program.
Reviews all Certified Surveys and Subdivision Plats and consults with the Planning and Zoning Department.
Provides Land Surveying services to other County Departments.
Serves as a member on the Land Information Council.
Maintaining Authority for County GPS Control Network.
