CTH “E” BRIDGE OVER I-94

The C.T.H. “E” bridge over I-94 was damaged during construction on I-94.  The bridge was closed for a short duration while the extent of the damage was being assessed.  It was determined that the bridge could be reopened, but only to one lane to keep traffic off of the damaged girder below the closed lane.  A repair is being developed that will hopefully be implemented yet this fall.  During this time a temporary traffic signal is in place to allow one lane of travel to occur at a time, alternating directions.  Please use caution when traveling the C.T.H. “E” corridor as motorists will most likely have to come to a stop prior to crossing the bridge.  When the bridge is being repaired, the bridge will most likely have to be completely closed.  Advance notice will be given prior to the closing of bridge.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the Highway Department at (920) 674-7265.

The Jefferson County Highway Department will be resurfacing CTH “F” from CTH “B” in the Town of Concord to STH “16” in the Town of Ixonia.  The work is scheduled to take place beginning the week of September 27, 2021.  The existing deteriorated asphalt pavement will be milled prior to paving the roadway.

Please use caution within the construction areas and please keep children away from the operations.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact the Highway Department at (920) 674-7265.

WisDOT Project/Bridge Rehabilitation County Road A Bridge and Airport Road Bridge

UPDATE:

My name is Chris Lins and I'm the Project Leader on project 1067-02-72 in Jefferson County near Lake Mills. This email is being sent as a courtesy reminder of the upcoming construction scheduled to begin on CTH A and Airport Rd bridges over IH 94.

CTH A will be closed to traffic starting Monday 7/26/2021 with a signed detour using CTH V, CTH B and CTH Q in place for the duration of construction. Our schedule currently shows opening CTH A to traffic in October. Airport Rd will be closed starting 8/02/2021 for 10 days to complete deck repairs, then closed again for three days in September to complete a polymer overlay on the deck. IH 94 will remain open to two lanes of traffic except during off peak times in which single lane closures will be utilized throughout the contract to complete work.

These dates are subject to change. Look for updates to the schedule to be included in the weekly email update I plan to send out during construction. Please forward to others that may be interested in receiving weekly updates or let me know if you no longer wish to receive and I can remove you from the list. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.
