
The Health Department will sample water for bacteria, nitrates and fluoride free of charge under the following circumstances:
- Pregnant woman or newborn in household
- Follow-up on possible water-borne disease
All samples are submitted to the State Laboratory of Hygiene in Madison for testing.
Homeowners may also contact a private lab for water testing.
All wells that are used for drinking water should tested every year.
