THE COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF JEFFERSON COUNTY DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:

     WHEREAS, the Jefferson County Board is authorized by law to establish the salary of the County Board Chairperson to be next elected, and

     WHEREAS, the Budget Committee has approved a change in the compensation of the County Board Chairperson effective the 1st day of May, 2002,

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the County Board Chairperson shall be paid a salary of $550 per month (now $500 per month) effective the 1st day of May, 2002. The County of Jefferson shall pay the required Wisconsin Retirement Fund contribution of the employer and the employee, together with the employer's share of the State Life Insurance Plan.

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that reimbursement for mileage and other expenses shall be continued in accordance with the existing ordinance.
