BURNT VILLAGE COUNTY PARK
Burnt Village County Park is located off County Highway N at the bridge over the Bark River. The park is a popular site on the lower Bark River for launching small boats, canoes and kayaks, and for shore fishing. There is an improved boat launch, seasonal restroom, picnic table, trash and recycling cans, and a gravel parking area.
Burnt Village is also a well known Historic Site, once being home to a Native American village and later a Federal Soldier encampment during the Blackhawk War of 1832. those interested in paddling trips, there are multiple options upstream and downstream for both long and short trips.
